Liberia: Central Bank of Liberia Puts Out Fresh Liberian Dollar Banknotes After Months of Dire Cash Scarcity

[FrontPageAfrica] Monrovia -With heavy hearts and without option, Liberians accepted mutilated Liberian dollar banknotes from commercial banks and in many cases, they could not get Liberian dollars at all. The banks had said the Central Bank was not issuing them sufficient Liberian dollars; yet, new Liberian dollar banknotes suddenly surfaced on Wednesday.
