South Africa: South Africa Needs Electoral System Overhaul

[Democracy Works] The Constitutional Court's decision in July 2020 to declare unconstitutional aspects of the Electoral Act which disallow individuals to stand as independent candidates for elections in provincial and national legislatures, will necessitate and lead to larger changes, whether directly or indirectly, to the country's electoral system.
